Existing Homes

This type of inspection is performed on an existing home by either a buyer or seller. This type of inspection makes up the majority of all home inspections.


When this seller requests this inspection, it is done prior to the house being listed on the market. A thorough inspection performed by Market Mutual Home Inspections will allow the seller to check for any issues, price the house accordingly, and make repairs before receiving any potential offers and provide transparency in the disclosure statement.


When this buyer requests this inspection, it is performed during the contingency period. The contingency period will take place after the buyer has placed an offer and will be given between 2-10 days to have Market Mutual Home Inspections provide a thorough home inspection to ensure the home has no existing conditions that they are unaware of. 


This is a very important part of the home buying process for both buyers and sellers as many deals can fall through at this stage. Having your home thoroughly inspected is one of the most important things that you can do to protect your investment.

New Construction

This type of inspection is performed on new homes. Many people think that since this is a new home, you don't need a home inspection. This couldn't be further from the truth. Homeowners should get new home inspections, even if the city provides one by a code enforcement inspector,as the code inspector only reports on code violations.  With many builders "cutting corners" during construction, home owners need an expert on their side to ensure their intrests are represented during the building process.

End of Warranty

This type of inspection is performed on a newer home that came with a warranty by the builder. The owner will want to schedule this inspection prior to the builder warranty expiring.


The purpose of this inspection is to ensure there are no issues with the home before the warranty expires. In the event that Market Mutual Home Inspections finds an issue or defect, you can go back to your builder to have these items fixed.


Failing to have an inspection performed prior to the warranty expiring could lead to repair bills that will not be covered by your builder warranty. Most builder warranties are between12-24 months.
